Becoming a Host Family
in Weymouth or Portland
Hosting foreign students can be a very rewarding experience and there are a variety of reasons why families consider becoming hosts.
Couples with young children recognise that it can broaden their children's horizons, whilst couples with older children realise that, with their older children now learning a foreign language in secondary school, it can present a reciprocal opportunity - the visiting student and the teenage children of the family learning from each other.
Older couples whose children have flown the nest value the company of visiting youngsters and young couples who have not yet started a family enjoy the new experience of welcoming young people into their home.
We consider all adult applicants, single parents and single adults living on their own included, and we visit everyone to give out further information, answer questions, take references and generally establish suitability.
